Gimu is a sound designer and electronic musician from Vila Velha, Brazil. Associated with drone, ambient and experimental music styles Gimu explores density and depth of ambience. Within a short period of being active in intellectual music scene Gimu has released over 8 records on labels such as Heart And Soul, Audio Gourmet, Twisted Tree Line, Heat Death and Rural Color. Gimu also expands his creativeness while recording and designing sound loops for sample libraries like Samplephonics.
“They All Left One By One, They All Left The Radio On” is a meditative album which consists of 6 sonic compositions. It has been released by new Leonardo Rosado’s imprint Heart and Soul. Jannick Schou was invited to do the audio mastering and to extract rich and wide sounding of this album. The major vision of compositions is focused on flexible atmospheres which are constantly diffusing in the immense diapason of hearing. Gradually developing of the speedy trembling ambience and drowned melodies’ fragments Gimu creates a cathedral listening experience. Live-recordings, tape samples and sensitive musical effects used in a process perfectly fill the lower background layer.
