Laimonas Zakas is a video artist and photographer from Vilnius, Lithuania. His project Glitchr is well-known among the Facebook users from all over the world. It is related to Glitch art where artist do digital or analog errors, such as artifacts and other “bugs”, by either corrupting digital code or by physically manipulating electronic devices. Zakas is an artistic hacker who detects these digital bugs on Facebook, Twitter and Google and other online platforms. The name of his project is taken from an example of such networks as Flickr or Tumblr. By using scripting tricks, unicode characters and diacritics Zakas finds bugs in programming and produce textile digital art which is widely represented in his social pages. There is more than 21 thousand fans including people who work for Facebook and are curious to find out about the new hacks made by Lithuanian artist. Glitchr is like a visual reflection of Ryoji Ikeda‘s tracks where tiny repeating elements of sound create a glitchy sound material.

Satisfaction - When something is finally completed. Completing this interview will be quite satisfying as well.
Energy - Music. And food for getting some calories.
Creator - There’s a lot. I don’t even want to name some, because those who won’t be mentioned, would seem less important than the mentioned ones.
Reason - I guess my life is quite spontaneous. One small event or discovery can change the plans.
Encouragement - Curiosity.
Theory - Do what you love and love what you do. If you can make a living doing that, then it’s perfect.
Talisman - Don’t have one. I don’t believe in superstitions.
Hope - Hmmm. I hope we are not doomed to extinction.
Invention - Writing. We would have almost nothing without it.
Remembrance - Last one was probably my trip to NYC. Seriously, I felt like a villager who came to the city for the first time.
Totem - Cat. Smart and lazy.
Existence - Self-realization.
Effectiveness - Night before the deadline. I make almost everything then and that’s a bad trait which I would like to get rid of.
Necessity - Laughter.
