The creators of this mix are She Past Away, a darkwave band from Bursa, Turkey. Formed in 2006 by Volkan Caner (vocals & guitar) and Idris Akbulut (bass), the band expanded in 2009 with the addition of Doruk Ozturkcan on electronic drums. After an extensive demo-recording session, their first digital EP, Kasvetli Kutlama, was released by Remoov Records in 2010, followed by their debut vinyl album, Belirdi Gece, launched by Fabrika Records. Blending gothic lyrics with intense guitars, brooding vocals, and immersive drum effects, the band revives the experimental edge of the darkwave era, influenced by icons like The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and Suicide.
