Chile to Russia and in-between - the heads of Summit of Braillė Satellitė record a mix showing the eccentric lineup of their 2017 edition.

A few weeks ago we announced the Secret Thirteen showcase at the Summit of Braillė Satellitė in Lithuania. Aside from our contribution to the festivities - James Welburn and TIESE - the stage of Braillė Satellitė will have a great many weirdos appearing over the course of three sultry summer days and nights. We have been fans of this cozy little event ever since it began with STRCAMP 5 years ago. It offers what a lot of others do not - an exclusive lineup that doesn’t try to include the coolest name of the season, a warm atmosphere, and a commendable DIY ethos we find so lacking elsewhere. Today, instead of babbling on about each of the artists on the bill, we decided to share with you a musical podcast - that is, after all, what we are here for!

Mixed by the organisers of Summit of Braillė Satellitė, Matas Aerobica (whose much earlier mix for us you can find here) and Oscar Olias, this podcast contains (almost) all the unique artists you will have the pleasure of hearing live. Experimental outsider synth vibes all over, interrupted here and there by psychedelic rock or folk passages and excursions into darker territories of drone/noise. The overall feel is like that of dream both feverish and mellow at the same time - part Werner Herzog, part Wes Anderson. This is a massive selection in terms of geographic breadth that spans at least 3 continents, and contains a lot of unreleased tracks, some from artists whose music is (sadly!) difficult to find. Don’t miss it, but more importantly let’s hang out in July!
